mira-mdivaniUS Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has revised the Form I-129, Petition for Non-Immigrant Worker, which employers use to petition for H-1B, L-1 and other work visa classification for their workers.  USCIS wlll publish the revised version on November 23, 2010. Please note that the fiing fee and the expedite fee for the I-129 Petitions will increase on November 23, 2010, too.   USCIS will continue to accept previous editions of I-129 Petition until December 21, 2010. Sometimes preparing an L-1 or an H-1B petition takes weeks.  It is important that employers and corporate immigration lawyers communicate ahead of time regarding the new non-immigrant visa petition form and the new fees, to avoid having to re-sign the petition and reissue the filing checks.
